Getting started

1. Sign up + onboarding wizard

Click Get started in the top-right and sign up. The 4-step wizard collects your destination name, brand keywords, primary feeder markets, and competitor names. Skip any step you're unsure about — you can refine later.

2. First measurement run

The first scheduled batch fires within 24 hours of signup. Your first GVI score appears after about 3 days of data has accumulated. The Overview page tells you when to expect the first numbers.

3. Add prompts

The default prompt library covers discovery, itinerary, comparison, and review pillars. Open Setup → Prompts to add destination-specific prompts ("things to do in [your destination] in October", "best food in [your destination]", etc.).

4. Add competitors and partners

Configure under Competitors and Partners. Both use keyword + domain matching to attribute mentions in AI responses.

Glossary

Mention rate
% of relevant AI responses that mention your destination.
Top rate
% of mentions where your destination appears in the first three positions of a list.
Itinerary inclusion
% of itinerary-style prompts that include your destination as a stop.
Source taxonomy
Sixteen categories: owned_dmo, owned_partner, tier1_editorial (Lonely Planet, NYT Travel), tier2_editorial (Frommer's, Time Out), review_platform (TripAdvisor, Google Reviews), ugc_reddit, ugc_other, video, reference (Wikipedia, Wikivoyage), news, social, ota_booking, google_properties, local_content, academic, unknown.
Influence tier
Platinum / gold / silver / bronze. Drives the influence score weighting in the source leaderboard.
Co-mention
Another destination that AI brings up alongside yours in the same response. Powers the co-mention map and competitive set inference.
Source gap
A platinum/gold travel publication that exists in the registry but has zero citations of your destination over the window. Surfaced as PR / earned-media targets.

Integrations

Looker Studio + BI tools

Open Setup → Data exports to grab your read-only API key and dataset URLs. Available datasets:

  • gvi-daily — daily score + sub-metrics
  • sources — daily citation rollup per domain
  • co-mentions — daily co-mentioned destination counts
  • alerts — alert event log

All accept ?days=N (max 730). Looker Studio: Add data → JSON connector → paste the URL with your key.

Email digests + alerts

Weekly digest fires Mondays at 09:00 UTC. Alert emails fire whenever a threshold trips (sentiment drop, GVI drop, new authoritative source citing you, etc.). Configure in Setup → Markets for now; per-recipient routing is coming.

Slack / Teams

Roadmap. Reach out if this is critical for your DMO.

Data quality

We sample real LLM responses; we don't scrape search results. Every metric on the dashboard is traceable to the underlying samples in your batch history.

Why does my GVI fluctuate day-to-day?

LLMs are non-deterministic. The same prompt produces different answers each time. Single-day variance can be ±5 points; trust the rolling 7- or 30-day average for trend reading.

Why is a known publication missing from my source leaderboard?

If the LLM didn't cite it during the window, we don't fabricate a citation. Check the Source Gap Analysis page — it lists tier-1 publications you're not yet getting cited by.

Billing

All paid plans run through Stripe. Cancel any time from Setup → Billing; access continues to the end of the paid period. Annual billing saves ~17%. Spark requires no card and no trial timer.

Troubleshooting

The dashboard says "No GVI yet"

You need at least 3 days of measurement data. The first scheduled batch fires within 24h of signup; the GVI aggregator runs nightly.

An alert email never arrived

Check spam, then verify the org's notification recipients. If still missing, contact support.

The Geo map view is empty

The map needs GOOGLE_MAPS_API_KEY configured. If you're self-hosting or the dashboard says "Maps API key not configured", reach out to support.
